I have a 12 volt ice auger, you clip the leads on a battery. I was thinking that I could get an adapter and run it with my M18 Milwaukee batteries and have a lot less weight to drag around. I don't see why it won't work except it will spin faster and would be easier to overheat. But it's an ICE AUGER, I won't be using it in warm weather, and it's definitely "intermittent use".
