I've been wrestling with a frozen cattle waterer the past few days. The down pipe underneath is frozen from our string of windy, sub-zero weather.  Finally  just gave up and put out a tank, added a good tank heater and fill it twice a day from a hydrant nearby. The cows were getting tired of eating snow. Just one of  the joys of having cattle in the north in January.  Maybe it's about time for prices to catch up with the challenges.
