Subject: JD ISO implements & Agco tractors?

Chebanse, IL.....

A neighbor/friend is considering an Fendt 2-track tractor. I don't know the model, but it's one of the bigger ones, I believe. He's got a later model JD 2-track now. Don't know the model number, but it's only 3-5 yrs old, I'm guessing.

Anyway, he has some late model JD tillage tools that use JD touch-set controls, I believe. He asked me if I thought that the Agco ISO system of the tractor (autopilot etc) was 100% compatible with the JD implements. Agco salesman tells him it will be 100% compatible, including steering stuff. I assume he needs to put a JD monitor (4640?) in the cab also.

My answer was.....no. In my experience there isn't anything that is 100% compatible through ISO. My experience has been that ISO compatibility will do 99% of what you want. It's that last 1% that you will miss and will bug you.

Can anyone tell him factually, based on experience, that the newer Agco Fendt tractor will be 100% with his JD stuff? I'll relay the information, if any.

Thanks
