It depends on when OP needs cows on it. Rhizobia and bradyrizobia don’t really get cranking until somewhere north of 60 degrees soil temps. Clover is even slower than Alf in my opinion for early growth (assuming red clover vs. white). OP might not want to crank all the 100% of n for the orchard early but rusty’s biggest bang out the gate is N for the grass early and then manage the paddocks after so he could graze the Alf or clover CLOSE but NOT often…. | |
