The issue is understanding what the issue is and what can affect change. When the vast, vast majority of economic intellects are 180 degrees from policy, red flags should be raised. When the one of the primary architects of the tariff policy made up an alternate identity to reference as an expert to bolster his arguments in his writings aka circle referencing that should be a red flag. Acting out just for the sake of acting out is what children do. Emotions are great for politicians. It's terrible for policy making. And we are completely in an emotion, you are a victim, driven policy making timeframe. Hence the ease that many tariff supporters and jump to whatever outcome they want to without explaining how it will work.
