Manola,Ab, Ca | Last night was the last night of winter log hauling. The contractor I hauled for all winter finished a couple of weeks ago but another contractor needed some extra trucks so I have been running with them as weather permitted. We completed a block this morning and with the weather forecast turning above normal for temperatures the lumber mill is closing the haul roads for breakup.
A side benefit of working at night is the opportunity to see the northern lights from time to time. Last night’s display was awe inspiring and was reminder of what an incredible universe we inhabit. I think this was probably in the top five events I have had the pleasure to watch. It made it incredibly difficult to stay focused on the job at hand.
Time now to adjust back to a day time schedule and get caught up on some things around home before the spring rush.
Pictures don’t always do justice to what I saw but they sometimes capture more colour than you can see with the naked eye.
Hopefully you enjoy!!!
