I somewhat understand the concept but I do not understand the mining of it. Is there an unlimited amount of Bitcoin that just has not been mined?
There is a finite amount of bitcoin to be mined and as time goes by, it is harder and harder to get.

But why is it finite? Numbers are infinite why can another digit just keep being added to make more numbered units of bitcoin? Or did whoever invented it just say there was X many bitcoins and in that case couldn't they come back and say now there X many more?
