| Have a Steady Steer in my Versatile 2210, and the plastic gear ring that turns the steering wheel “catches” when turning the steering wheel by hand. It’s caused by the joints in the plastic gear ring as they go past the little bearing wheels that the gear ring rides on. If the gear ring was one piece, this wouldn’t happen, but they have it split so a guy doesn’t have to take the steering wheel off to mount it. To me it feels really annoying, does anyone else feel this too, and is there anything that can be done about it? Seems like it might be getting a little bit worse, think I’ve had this Steady Steer about 3-4 years now. Have another one mounted on the combine steering wheel, so we just move the motor back and forth, the combine one seems to turn smoother with less catching.
