I firmly believe narrow rows on organic are a mistake. The uncultivated area right in the row is the hardest to keep clean, and now you're adding 1.5x the rows?
Time to canopy as a method of weed control is overrated in organics in my opinion. I've seen way too many weeds poke through late season after full canopy, and they're almost always in the row where they weren't easy to cultivate.
Anybody ever tried organic corn on 20 inch rows?
