East central Indiana
I have sprayed cereal rye 18 days after planting soybeans were 3 inches tall. I planted and down poured rain shortly after and was finally dry enough to spray 18 days later. Rye was 3 foot tall at planting and was 4.5 to 5 feet tall at burn down. There was no yield difference between fields where burn down was chasing planter and delayed burn down. Also taller rye kept field cleaner from weeds.
