Vehicles are made to barely get thru warranty period. Then the shop bills start adding up, making money for the dealerships. At a certain point it is not cost effective to keep vehicle. Manufacturers don’t want 20-30 year old vehicles still on the road. If it wasn’t for me being in the rust belt, I would probably rebuild a 20 year old vehicle instead of buying a new one.
