I quit using Teamviewer 4-5 years ago.  They accused me of violating their terms of conditions and claimed I was using it for commercial purposes. I wasn't but knew I wouldn't win that battle.  Since then if I absolutely need to remote into a computer I've used Chrome Remote Desktop.  Not nearly as functional but has worked.  For machines I have 100% control of I've used TightVNC.  I only recommend this if the machine is on your network or you can setup a VPN to it.
