Southern Illinois | Less than 5%. Cash flows are tight, yes. Restructuring is necessary on a lot of farms. Selling assets (land, machinery or both) is a real possibility for some. But bankruptcy will be rare in my opinion. Anyone that owns 500 - 1,000 acres is still likely a high net worth individual whether they’re able to cash flow or not. Bankruptcy would mean you’re insolvent which I just can’t believe too many are as strong as land values are. | |
