SE Indiana | I suspect it is related to the total number of hogs compared to the amount of exported pork and the tariff situation. We export a large amount of our pork and any threat to that market will cause huge speculation of a demand change. What I don’t understand is why domestic demand has not picked up. Pork is a bargain compared to beef, you can buy lean pork loin for less than ground beef. | |
