Because his echo chamber sounds different than yours. Comparing Trump to Hitler shows a degree of irrational thought and an inability to think objectively. Two things you criticized him for.
Is your response to David because one reference to the kgb in the article he posted? Isn't rounding up your political opponents and charging them with trumped up things what the kgb is famous for? I'm all about giving the people that misbehaved that day a charge that is appropriate. If it is a misdemeaner then process it in the same way it is always processed. If it is a felony, process it accordingly. Putting these people on a perp walk and delaying their day in court especially while holding them without bail is plain and simple kgb/soviet style actions. Call it what it is.
There would have been no need or political gain to pardon them if they had been treated properly.
