8800 pounds isn't that bad. What does a one ton diesel pickup weigh?
I think my half ton weighs around 6,000. empty. According to The Chevy site the 4 door crew cabs are getting well over 7,000 for a gas.
It looks like a regular silverado 2500 weighs 11,500
