A lot of the posts are promoting savings by doing a lot of the work yourself and using lower end finishes. That’s all well and good but you can do those two things when building a stick built house too. Property tax savings are the big point of savings for some but that is drying up for others as counties are changing the way the barndominiums are assessed.
So how much cheaper can a Shouse or Barndominium be built vs a ranch home?
