Bit technology has come miles ahead in the last dozen yrs. Used to see tricones go down hole and come back up destroyed in a couple dozen meters sometimes. Trip a mile of pipe to change a bit every other day. Some 12 hr shifts were lucky to sink one joint of pipe.
Question for the guys in oil country.
