All the guys on here saying that it won’t ever catch on, can’t ever catch on, will never work must be the descendants of people that said the same thing about their horses and mules. Sure it took 50 years between when adoption was heavy in the cities until it was on the farm but once people got used to plowing with a tractor, who really wanted to go back to a horse.
Even if you did have some downsides like having to buy fuel, change oil (frequently on early models) and had to pick up a complete new set of knowledge.
It probably won’t be the 67yr old average farmer who sees heavy adoption of rural EVs but I bet I will.
There simply are too many potential advantages and the disadvantages are being whittled away. | |
