West Kentucky | The data is sound and it is replicated. The more widespread the practice the more locations that will be likely to be included in the replicated data. The results are not intended to be used to make wholesale changes from year to year on your farm. The results are intended to help farmers maneuver through as many of the products on the market as possible to determine if they have potential to return a profit on farm scale. In general, the products that don't make the cut drop from testing. The products that make the cut end up having several years of data and are given PFR Proven designation after a few years. Even with that, once it becomes PFR Proven, it only means that it has proven to have consistent positive roi in test plot size strips and may be worth considering trying "some" on your farm to see if you can replicate the results. We have tried several over the years with a few being no brainers to continue using such as 2x2x2 nitrogen with the planter. However, we have also tried some with no results, likely because that was not one of our limited factors as Eddie commented earlier on this thread. | |
