Ludington/Manistee MI area

Smaller herd kept close to yard so my cows see plenty of human interaction.   I got one cow that don’t trust but majority are very chill.  I got one who if your walking across the pasture wearing a hoodie she will bite the hoodie to get you to stop to get treats. Had one heifer she was small framed had problems calving so pulled calf I don’t think either would have survived otherwise.   Cow took off and never showed interest calf ended up a bottle calf. Big difference between a herd basically dry lotted on 20 acres verse cows on the open range.   If we drive the Gator across the pasture not uncommon to have to stop and wait for cows to cross as they are in no hurry.
