I was told today I would have to be nuts to plant beans unless I can make $8 beans work..........

so doing some thinking while looking at the chemical books and the like.

I want to have a two pass system, to save costs. A pre with residual, then later on a contact.

We are in a drought area, so I'm not all that worried about weeds (but then this year it will rain).

trying to figure if going with enlist beans would be the cheapest way to go.

Any numbers yet on cost of enlist soybean seeds ? the cheaper the better anymore.

any ideas on chemicals, and seed.

Thank you

The only way to make soybeans work in my opinion, is to field average minimum 80 bu/a and eventually 100 bu/a long term. Plant early, use Peking for SCN because PI88788 isn't working any longer. Put on a foliar R2 application of AcreEdge Risen N+K!

No foo foo foliar. That's cut too

I don't recommend anything not backed up by research. We had spectacular results this year with the K and N foliar. Soybeans only produce 60% of the Nitrogen they need. The rest has to come from the environment through mineralized N or added at R2.
