Sunburst Montana | These new class 10/11 combines from NH, Case, and JD are physically larger in the threshing department. Remember you don’t have to go wider but you can go longer. I think the new class 10 axial flow has a rotor 3ft longer than the older rotor they’ve been using since 1977. The NH rotors in the smaller combines are 22” dia but I think these new ones are 24” dia same as JD X9. And I think they are substantially longer vs the older smaller CRs. You have a valid point when referring to the JD S series and smaller Case combines but these class 10/11s do have substantially more to threshing area. Just think of this, the X9 is more or less two rotors from the class 5 JD 9560/70 put together.
