Not 100% true. EV's have their place in some areas, not very many - however. Places where they make sense and have the infostructure to support I see quite a few, again, NOT very many, but they do exist.
Last 2-3 trips to Vegas about 1 out of every 20 vehicles you see are EV.
For the majority, (including me) they are NOT practical, nor is it feasible to mandate ZERO ICE vehicles anytime in the near future. (apologize in advance to the liberals....but that is the truth)
