Here in Manitoba fees, taxes, regulations, building codes are pretty high for a new house. They claim the strictest codes in North America. Farm shop completely opposite and probably no inspector going to show up either building a shop. Build a shop then add living accommodations in afterwards and you'll be able to save quite a bit of money. Just keep it on the low key. Friends coworker is seasonal. Just lives in his camper year around and has a small property just out of Winnipeg. Loads up and heads south once weather gets evil. He was going to build a shop and throw the camper inside when they wanted to just stay here instead. No rules saying you cant live in your camper in your shop. | |
