The Internet | sparkiefarmer - 12/24/2024 15:10 On tractor house there are 350 for sale in the US and 300 in canada. Given the population difference i agree that there must ve more of them in the north. The northern plains can be pretty tough country, but there are also a fair number of operations that own a staggering ammount of land. Also a lot easier to keep the grain away from an x9 running in 40 bushel crop than one running in 200+. I withdraw my 'I state' comment and will say that machinery is priced for those who own land in a big, BIG way. How fast does a combine that size have to go in that part of the world to use the capacity and how does the operator control the header?
I do wonder how much bigger equipment can get physically. It's less of an issue for you, but moving stuff now is getting and issue here, the big heads are an oversized load on thier own here and I can see the need for the heads to split it two now so they can be moved. |
