If you have (or need) your land values at max on your balance sheet, you have bigger problems.
If a person is required to have a balance sheet they have problems as well.
I guess “problems” is a very subjective term, but I would say for the most part your statement is incredibly inaccurate. Maybe it’s a “ here thing” and bankers in your part of the country operate differently. Do you consider any level of debt, even a small one a “problem”? If so I understand and respect your opinion. Fwiw I agree wholeheartedly with just about everything you post related to the financial side of farming.
