Central iowa
Wal mart or Crutchfield should have radio hits. Should be able to find a package for 150 or less. Factory 700r4 were very weak they can be beefed up for $. Might be just as well to swap in 350 or 400 tranny. If not running alot of interstate mileage will be similar. If you can find complete axles out of a diesel they will likely be 3.42. If you ever want to build a motor for it put in the th350 or th400 and swap to 3/4 or 1ton axles. Squarebodys are the easiest vehicle to build and swap parts around ever made. Drive train parts are still plentiful in junkyards. Most are there because the bodies are rotted out. The heavier axles should have a lot of life left in them. If you have a good body maybe find a good 3 quarter or 1ton roller and put the body on it. Meckleys parts and service baxter iowa will have all the parts you'll ever need if you have trouble finding something local. Tell them I sent you. I have alot of parts as well.
