I still have the big old Co-op freezer my parents bought new in 1957. I quit using it at least ten years ago as the new ones are supposed to be so much more efficient and "greener". I fail to see the green part of it when they only last a fraction as long as the old ones and are not repairable before going to be re-cycled. Makes no sense to me. Still got a 53 vintage IH fridge in an old house that was still working when it was unplugged over 20 years ago. |
