A little is great A Lot might not be. Depending on the specifics of the humic product I think you'd be better off with a pint or two for every 10 to 15 gallons.

The green up quicker is kind of a strange test. And by adding the potassium we don't know if that will benefit you or not because we don't know what is happening in the plant.

With humic acid you have the carbon side that will help stabilize nitrogen. But you have the acid side that can help make the micronutrients more available to the plant, can help break phosphorus from soil making that available. It also can help support the micro life in the soil.
