This is where your arrogance and know it all get in the way of you being a valuable poster. I never said I had farmed for 25-30 years or if I borrowed money to put a crop out or not. I know farmers that own nearly 5,000 acres and have little land debt but still utilize an operating loan to market grain when they see fit and take advantage of early pay for inputs. I also know farmers that own very little land and rent most with no operating loan.

Which one is right isn’t for me to decide. They are both comfortable in their respective situations. I’m sure you will be quick to point out their flaws being the mastermind you are though


You have a lot to learn

Comfortable doesn't improve the bottom line. Productive time and management money does. Too many farmers run their operation like a 501 C3 instead of a for profit business.
