I did forget to add, this freezer is 4 years newer than me.
IH Model 70, built in 1952!!! Should they really have gone longer than 72 years without ever adding freon? Refrigeration guy said they line had never been opened before. Will a new 2024 built freezer last until the year 2096 & beyond? This IH freezer is still going & I assume it will last another 70+ years. Maybe that's how IH gave the model #? Thinking it should last 70+ years?
By the way, we have an IH refrigerator in the office that's much newer & is used daily. It was built in 1954. So, it's just now 70 yrs old & still going strong.
Photos of our freezer. Food was removed to defrost.
