Roseglen, North Dakota | Something very wacky with that chart and I mean very wacky.
I don't remember the year (maybe was 2008)
Remember the day spring wheat hit $18 in January at the ag show in Minot and stayed there till June or July.
And durum hit $25 in that same period. Remember it well.
Winter wheat wd have been close to spring wheat.
Corn and beans same deal. And it took 1to 2 years for inputs to react. Now they react within 2 weeks of a market rise and stay up when market goes down
Like it is right now.
Those were much more profitable times. Seed and fertilizer were 1/3 to 1/2 of today's prices.
Machinery maybe 1/4?
