Kansas | centralmnangus, No need to apologize, we all defend what we believe in, I appreciate your thoughtful response. The sick part of ag talk is that one story gets told for all. The personal stuff gets so bad people don't want to share, can't because they get bullied out. It's hard not too vigorously defend what you believe which I am guilty of and more. I think it's great that you are geared toward cattle. I do worry, if we all go that direction on most acres, the economics of that will turn bad as well. I agree on the working with your neighbors. Having done it some, it is definitely easier to say than it is to do. And ironically, in this case, it wasn't that folks couldn't get along to share a piece of equipment, a company in the area lobbied the state to pass stricter laws to keep it from happening if you can believe that. And that has happened to friends of mine as well on the livestock side in processing.
I don't think people as a whole want or feel entitled to subsidies. They do take them no doubt about that. But to be clear, I don't think it wasn't for a lack of trying something else. No easy answers, maybe tomorrow. Much respect, have a safe and Merry Christmas.
