Yes the truth is the guys in ILLINOIS are the ones that dont want crop insurance because they want the rest of us in the western corn belt to quit growing so they can have 7 dollar corn forever. We all were not born in Illinois where the risk of crop failure is not existent. To hell with dryland corn farmers in Nebraska where we can only grow a decent crop 7 years out of 10. You all should be ranching and growing wheat. Im one who is thankful for crop insurance and thankful that it will never go away.


There are plenty of Nebraska dryland corn farmers who wish the govt subsidies would go away. Crop insurance included.

Wheat is fine if you get further west, but it's too wet for it here.
