Subject: Humic acid and tying up nutrients

Ohio
Two different tests, what are my results. Let’s pretend I’m fertigating corn thru a pivot.

1st test I am adding a large amount of humic acid to 28%. Let’s just say one gallon of a good quality humic for every 4 gallons of 28%. Half the field gets the 28% with humic acid, the other half gets only 28%. Which half greens up quicker?

2nd test is similar but with melted potash. Figure 1 gallon of high quality humic to every 5 gallons of 0-0-12 Kcl. Half the field get the humic/Kcl combo, the other half gets just straight Kcl. Which half of the field will see a better response?

Humic acid is supposedly “stabilizing” my nitrogen and “complexing” my Kcl. Are these fancy ways to say “tying up momentarily”?
