Ft. Ripley MN
Can you explain that more please?? I’m honestly curious. I’m not asking for your exact numbers but wanting to know why you say you need subsidies to compete…. What’s changed from a couple generations ago??

Government assistance has been around along time but seems like after the 80’s it started to ramp up with new programs since.

Moving away from livestock?? Different crops raised??

Yes inputs machinery cost of living has all increased but yields should have have moved up somewhat to compensate? Or maybe I’m wrong in that thinking.

Things are changing but that’s why I’m asking because these questions need to be ask on what can be done differently?? Sure maybe profit margins will be different but on a whole there shouldn’t be a reason everyone can’t make a profit outside of a black swan or a weather event.

This is nothing against you I’m just honestly curious… can’t improve and change if the questions don’t get asked. I’m sure it’s a fine line but there has to be a way to make a profit without government assistance. Thanks
