| Wouldn't really want to do a pad, the foundation is about 2ft above grade right there. If I did a pad up to the fan, I think it could frost heave at a different rate than the bin foundation, which could mess it up. I think the sheets themselves would be fine. Made 2 bins into one, following gauge thickness recommendations by doubling sheets on the 3 lowest rings (lowest is 2 17ga., approx. 12 ga. thickness), also added stiffeners for extra insurance. If it ever failed, I think it'd be where the transition slides into the transition to bin sheet adapter. At which point, it'd fall a couple inches and contact the foundation, so it'd probably just mess up the transition, fan should be fine. So, I'm probably worrying too much. :D | |
