Contrary to what the box says and common belief, LED's rarely outlast incandescent bulbs "here".

Everything they might save on electric consumption is paid it up front in increased bulb cost.     

The other thing very noticeable about LED's is their diminishing light output over their life whereas an incandescent has the same output right up until it burns out.
