If I plug in to ammoritization calculator:
$70000
30 year loan
8% interest
$500 monthly payment
--- should owe about $33000 on the loan yet
--maybe they stopped paying, or something more to the story
---most people don't know how a loan works. The longer the length of loan/the smaller payment you make works against you.
This doesn’t make any sense to me.
