Induction- My fiances family has an induction, it does boil fast but for some reason it seems like it can't get a heavy cast iron pan of bacon fried any quicker then my own pre safety range. It is also touch screen which doesn't work with damp hands after washing, and it turns the whole stove completely off if it senses anything other the pans on there which is SUPER annoying. Way too computerized for me.

Gas, I don't own one but when I looked into it the air quality in the house gets bad quite quickly even with a hood fan on, and they don't boil any quicker then a pre safety electric from what I've seen.

Electric- I ended up purchasing a pre safety late 90's electric range off Facebook marketplace in perfect condition for $80, and I am very happy with my choice. Time tested and can fix any problems through ebay yourself, but its never needed anything. My mother paid $1200 for her new range and has had the main computer board fail twice which with the service calls is almost again what it was worth new, plus it has those crappy safety elements. My house also came with a newer stove when I moved in and the computer failed within 2 months, I replaced it with another and the computer started throwing fault codes almost immediately so that's when I got ticked and found the old one

I would highly highly recommend looking for a nice pre safety electric range. So many of my friends and family have had the computer boards fry in their newer (and higher end) appliances I have almost become passionate about this topic lol
