The Internet | I have a UK built (raw materials went in, cars came out) Honda Jazz. You know them as Fit. It is the best car I have ever driven. Not fast or exciting, but utterly reliable and good on fuel. However, Honda have all but disappeared from the UK market. The Jazz is still a good car, but way too expensive, CRV seemed to sell well if you like SUV crossover things but I don't. Civic has been meh for years. They just don't seem to build cars that people want here, or in the rest of Europe anymore. They're still making good bikes, but fewer people are buying bikes, that said, the new CB1000 Hornet is going to take some resisting.... Mitsubishi pulled out completely a few years ago. Nissan are still here building cars. I think, a lot of them a related to Renaults, without the French charm and flair or the Japanese reliablity. Nissan had the bench mark EV for about 5 minutes with the Leaf, but didn't seem to capitalise in its success and have been left behind I've no idea how any of them are fairing world wide, but not well judging by this merger. We're only a small, insignificant market, but it doesn't look good. The once mighty Ford look utterly screwed too |
