Subject: RE: Times change - economic cycles

West central Ohio
Did some pickup shopping a few weeks ago. Ford dealer wanted 36k for a 23 model f150, 39k miles, 3.5 eco, nice truck but not fancy by any means. Offered them $32k. Got the run around that they couldn't possibly do that because they would be losing money on the truck. I told salesman the difference between today and 3 years ago is that the buyer has options, lots are full. He agreed, but they declined my offer. I said that's fine, I'll go buy a brand new ram for $38k instead. Salesman and boss wished me luck. Walked out of the store and before I made it 100 feet out the door, they chased me down and said we'll sell the truck for $32k.
