| Depends on what your goals are. They are still plenty popular, although low disturbance tool bars are rapidly gaining popularity.
I don't think the pottinger tool vars used for manure are really aimed to do any actual tillage, more so as a quick, easy way to mix the manure with the top few inches of soil. Prior to the pottinger style bars, most guys seemed to run chisels and those were a slow process. Dry time depends on a lot of factors, but generally with decent dry weather guys have been able to in and work ground for planting a week later. | |
