| Hick - 12/22/2024 16:23 What was the dispute about? The gmo Mexico thing? If Mexico wants non gmo corn they should be able to buy it. The patent holders for gmo corn had a lot at stake. $100s of millions in patent money would be lost by bayer. The corn farmer is the big looser. Nebraska farmers should get a premium to send Mexico non gmo corn. How many lobbyists got this pushed through?
If Mexico wants to buy NGMO corn all they have to do is pay a premium to get it grown, stored segregated and shipped to them seggregated.
People that want "organic" grain are able to do so by paying a premium to get it done.
There is absolutely nothing stopping Mexico from paying enough premium to get all the NGMO corn they can possibly use.
