ND
Last year I had 50 acres SS swathed half and let half stand. Turned cows in it they cleaned up the windows to nothing they ate all of it . The standing SS fell to the ground and they wouldn't touch it.

Had 170 acres of forage sorghum the custom chopper showed up just before some snow he got 50 acres chopper before the snow knocked it flat on the ground.

Figured the cows would clean it up over winter it was BMR it should be good. The cows would have starved to death before eating any of it. I mean they never ate a leaf off that forage sorghum.

Had 2 years of silage test on forage sorghum and numerous feed test on baled SS and yet to see one good test.

It's a filler a touch better than corn stocks or straw.
