Really dumb question if it is unoccupied because there are no good renters. What is the point of keeping it? Sounds like a money pit sell it or burn it down.
Oregon has some really dumb land use laws. In good ag ground, you can't separate a house from 160 acres unless it is already on a separate tax lot. Blame the busy bodies in Salem for that one. There are exceptions and variances, of course, but none apply in my situation. So, bottom line is, nobody can afford that $400,000 house let alone the 80-acre tax lot it is on. I'm not ready to bulldoze that house. |
