North Central Illinois | Back in our late teens, my brother and I welded a 3" cube of 1/4" thick plate steel. We put a note inside that said something like "congratulations, you have received your prize.". To keep from burning the paper while welding the lid on we set it in a pan of water. We put a note on the outside explaining that the "prize" inside was heat sensitive.
A friend ended up with it. He drilled a small hole in it and confirmed that we hadn't burned the paper inside, but didn't bother to extract it. | |
