When I was in the Air Force, I got the privilege to ride in the military jet that I was the crew chief on and we went to an altitude of 45,500 feet. The thing that impressed me was seeing the curvature of the Earth, some thing I will never forget. So my puzzle to you guys is can anybody figure out at that altitude and seeing the curvature, how wide in miles of the Curvature of earth was I seeing??
Figure it out, how wide?
