Those wind turbines are most certainly tied into to transmission lines that go into ercot. West Texas has better more reliable wind than most places. The newest big thing is to build data centers, ai facilities, etc, behind a wind farm. These centers use huge amounts of electricity, like 50-500 megawatts.
Question for the guys in oil country.
